Sleep in your life

Make sure you get your sleep… it helps your memories.

Cutting back on sleep can give you high blood pressure.

Naps are good for us. Why can’t we have nap-friendly workplaces?

Sleep apnea can lead to sleepwalking and hallucinations (of course, it can also kill you).

Too little sleep… or too much sleep can lead to obesity, diabetes, and premature death.

Chicken and egg: Happy couples sleep better at night. And a good night’s sleep leads to happier couples…

Those longevity things you posted last week all gave me answers that show LONG life-expectancy. One of the questions – was it only on one questionnaire? – was about how long I sleep at night. My answer? FIVE hours. Maybe that’s not the detriment I thought it was? Granted, sometimes it’s six, but never more than that. And I usually only nap on weekends, when the Pixie isn’t here, for no more than 30 minutes.

    Huh. I feel better already…

5 hours isn’t optimal. somewhere between 7 and 9 is best, supposedly, although they’re not sure why.
But there’s huge variation in human behaviour… maybe yhou’re just a 5 hour a night person.
