Forget those predictions of over-population. We’ve got a long way to go before that ever happens. Africa alone has enough arable land to feed the entire world. Although as Instapundit notes, “it never will, so long as it’s run by inept kleptocrats”.
Still, it shows that mass food shortages are not the certainty that some say they will be, and if famines do occur, it has nothing to do with there being too many people, or because we’re running out of arable land.
