Empiricism as a way of looking at the world
Empiricism is an approach to knowledge that is grounded in reality. It means evaluating ideas and making decisions based on evidence, experience, and reason.
There is of course a role for intuition, introspection and other non-empirical methods of discovering truth. However they must be tempered by experience of the real world.
They need data or they become like an unmoored boat, drifting aimlessly on the sea.
