Output requires input: future directions for this site
You might have noticed that new articles on the Empiricist have slowed to a trickle
There’s a simple reason for this, and that is, I’m time poor. Full time job with increased responsibilities, a book to promote, and a rather messy separation going on.
I’m thinking about restarting it again in the new year – ie 2013 – with a different angle. Maybe including in additional contributors. Also, I think it needs refocusing
towards being more about commentary and analysis. The tough thing about commentary is that if I haven’t been reading voraciously, I don’t have new stuff to contribute. Output requires input, and so having daily posts is a substantial commitment in terms of personal reading and following the news that I’m not prepared to do right now. I’ll most likely revamp and relaunch the site in January.
In the meantime, between now and Christmas posting will be slight. Sorry if you were enjoying the reading and would like more material here. (if that’s the case, feel free to say so in comments, including what you’d like to see more of)
update May 3 2012.
I’m back in business and will resume blogging on a regular basis.

Please continue when you have the time!
